Leadership Begins Here

Hau’ Mitakiyapi na Mikodapi (Hello my relatives and friends):

On behalf of the Board of Directors, administration, and staff, I welcome you to the United Tribes Technical College (UTTC) campus! UTTC is recognized as the second tribal college and university in the Nation, and we are honored that you are attending our institution. UTTC was established by the five tribal Nations in the State of North Dakota to address workforce development and higher education needs for our people. UTTC is in our 55th year of service to the United Tribes of North Dakota, the Great Plains, and Indian Country.

All certificates, associate of applied science, associate of science, and baccalaureate, programs are aligned with North Dakota and the Great Plains tribal and non-tribal workforce needs to further enhance students’ employment opportunities upon graduation. UTTC is fully accredited through the Higher Learning Commission until 2030 to include the provision of online programs of study and continues to collaborate with the North Dakota Tribal College System (NDTCS), and the North Dakota University System (NDUS), to enrich a seamless transfer between tribal and state colleges.

Ongoing campus street improvements and facility renovations may create access issues during the beginning of the fall semester; however, the end result will be a more modern learning and social environment for our students and employees. The IT infrastructure updates are complete with all areas of campus served by hardwire or by WIFI services to enhance online instruction and internet accessibility to enhance your academic experience. Fiberoptic, geothermal heating/ cooling, and enhanced safety and security, initiatives ensure a safe environment for students and student families who live here or the employees that work here in the UTTC campus community.

We encourage you to consider joining student led organizations such as the Student Government Association (SGA), American Indian Science and Engineering Society (AISES), American Indian Business Leaders (AIBL), or other student organizations, to further enhance your academic experience. UTTC is here to support you as a student, and we are committed to providing a quality educational experience that will serve you throughout your career. We are excited and honored to have you here, and we wish you tremendous academic success!
